Callala Wetland Walkway Bird Walk
Grade and Distance: - about 3km (1 hour) - easy grade on path and boardwalk
Vegetation Types - Saltmarsh, mangroves, Bangalay Sands forest, Dry Sclerophyll and Swamp Sclerophyll forests, and Swamp Oak forest.
What to look for:
Possible bird species include cormorants, ducks, grebes, thornbills, honeyeaters, raptors, whistlers, finches, dotterels, woodland birds, swamp birds and mangrove birds.
Location:
The walking track is located at the lower end of Callala Creek, just upstream of Jervis Bay, between Callala Bay and Callala Beach. The walk start is at the corner of Chisholm Street and Sheaffe Street in Callala Bay.
